Montañas que ascender

I heard President Spencer W. Kimball, in a session of conference, ask that God would give him mountains to climb. He said: “There are great challenges ahead of us, giant opportunities to be met. I welcome that exciting prospect and feel to say to the Lord, humbly, ‘Give me this mountain,’ give me these challenges”. Pres. Eyring

“…Speaking of the field: I TRANSFERRED TO HUNDRED ISLANDS AREA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :D :D :D !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sister Folau and I are the only sisters. PERIOD. In this area (used to be split but now they pulled out Island B's sisters and left the whole area to us); in our Zone, and in the entire Alaminos District (not stake, district). It's so CRAZY! We know there is a plan, we just wish we could see what was happening next transfer to see all the pieces fit together! I feel very overwhelmed with how much trust the Lord has on me and my companion OUT OF ALL THE SISTERS IN OUR MISSION. I'm not sure what He wants me to learn from this transfer but I'm taking every chance to learn and grow. Actually, it's cliche, but I prayed about it on December 31, 2013 - January 1, 2014 for a mountain to climb that would make me a stronger person and come closer to Heavenly Father and then that day, Jan 1, we had Zone Interviews and President Monahan told me I was transferring here. And now I'm here, with a comp who's only been here 6 weeks and we feel like we just walked into the biggest area ever. BUT. We know there is a plan. We know there is help, and that we CAN do this. With the members helping, with prayer and fasting, and being exactly obedient, we're gonna stretch ourselves to fulfill what the Lord expects of us. Just think - out of anyone who He could have sent here at this time, it's Sister Folau and I. I'm truly excited for what happened this transfer :)MAHAL KITA talaga. Maraming salamat sa lahat na ginagawa po ninyo para sa akin…”

 

From Kimi:

“…we are definitely going back to the Tacloban Mission :) got an email from Pres Andaya, now stationed in Maasin (a different zone) til they fix Tacloban. They said the end of Jan is the earliest that elders will get to go back, so maybe Feb or Mar for the sisters, still really soon. They are taking everyone back unless it's too hard for them to return...but I'm ok, so I'm going back to my old mission...I really wanna go back to my area, but I don't know if it's ok enough now, it got hit pretty hard... About the language, I  feel like I can say pretty much whatever I want, and I'm always translating for sister Duke (my companion), who is still young in the mission...but, a less active member and our kuyog (person we work with, it actually means "together") were talking and saying stuff to us like "sorry we're talking fast, you probably don't know what we're saying", and the only reason I didn't know, was cuz I wasn't paying attention, but when I did listen I did understood the gist of what they were saying, so I think my language skills definitely have gotten better and I am even better at understanding people :) when I go back to Tacloban, I'll learn waray waray, which will be fun...and it will help me learn Tagolog :) so look out Sea :) I'll be as good as you soon! (joke).

Él dijo: “Hay todavía grandes desafíos delante de nosotros, oportunidades gigantescas que alcanzar. Acepto con gusto esta emocionante perspectiva y con humildad quiero decirle al Señor: ‘¡Dame este monte!, dame estos desafíos’

“,,, y hablando del campo, fui transferida al area llamado Cien Islas!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :D :D :D !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hermana Folau y yo somos las “únicas Hermanas Misioneras” en esta area. PUNTO! Era un area con dos parejas de Hermanas misioneras pero ellas fueron transferidas y ahora nosotras dos cubrimos esta area completa y todo el Distrito de Alamino (no es una Estaca aqui todavia). Es tan increible! Sabemos que hay un plan en todo esto y estamos animadas par aver que pasará con el próximo cambio par aver como este rompecabezas se completa. Me siento abrumada al pensar cuanta confianza el Senor ha puesto en mi y en mi compañera ENTRE TODAS LAS HERMANAS DE LA MISION! Aun no estoy segura que desea el Señor que yo aprenda con este cambio, pero sacaré provecho de cada momento para aprender y crecer. En realidad en simple: justo al año nuevo, oré por una montaña para ascender, y de esa manera llegar a ser una persona mas fuerte para allegarme mas a mi Padre Celestial, y ese mismo dia 1ro de Enero tuvimos entrevistas de zona con nuestro Presidente de Mision (Pres. Monahan) y él me dijo que seria transferida a esta nueva area, y ahora estoy aqui!!! Con una compañera que solo ha estado en la mission  por 6 semanas, por tanto sentimos que hemos entrado en el area mas grande de la mission.PERO sabemos que hay un propósito para todo. Sabemos que tendremos la ayuda y que PODEMOS el trabajo! Con la ayuda de los miembros locales de la Iglesia, oración y ayuno y siendo lo mas obedientes que podamos, asi podremos estrecharnos mas y mas y asi cumplir con lo que Señor espera de nosotras. Pienso muchas veces, de todas las misioneras que podrian haber sido transferidas aqui, fui yo y Hermana Folau las que hemos bendecidas para estar aqui. MAHAL KITA talaga. Bienvenidos a la Cuidad de Loli-An - Cebu

“… definitivamente nos vamos de vuelta a la Mision Tacloban. :) recibí un correo electrónico de Pres Andaya ( mi exPresidente de Mision) , ahora estacionado en Maasin ( una zona diferente ) hasta que arreglen Tacloban . Dijeron que el final de Enero sería lo más pronto que los Elderes podrían volver alla, así que tal vez en Febrero o Marzo para las hermanas misioneras , todavía es pronto para saber. Ellos están invitando a todos para que vuelvan a menos que sea muy difícil para ellos volver ... pero yo estoy bien, así que voy a volver a mi antigua misión ... Tengo muchas ganas de volver a mi zona, pero no sé si esa región está lo suficientemente bien ahora , ya que fue muy destruida con severidad ... en cuanto al idioma (Cebuano), siento que puedo decir más o menos lo que quiero, siempre estoy traduciendo para la hermana Duke ( mi compañera ) , que es muy nueva en la misión ... pero , un miembro de la Iglesia menos activa y nuestra kuyog ( persona con quien trabajamos, que en realidad significa "juntos" ) estaban hablando y diciendo cosas que nosotros como "lo siento que estamos hablando muy rápido, usted probablemente no sabe lo que estamos diciendo " , y la única razón por la que no entendí , era porque yo no estaba prestando atención , pero cuando presté atención pude comprender la esencia de lo que decían, así que creo que mis conocimientos del idioma sin duda han mejorado y me siento mucho mejor especialmente comprendiendo a la gente :) cuando vuelva a Tacloban , voy a aprender waray waray, lo  cual será divertido ... y que va a ayudarme a aprender Tagolog :) así que ten cuidado Sharon :) voy a ser tan bueno como tu pronto! ( broma )…”
