“So...they (the Church leaders) are sending missionaries back to the Tacloban Mission...THIS CYCLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!
There is a batch of 26 missionaries from all over the Philippines going back nd my companion is one of them. I am staying here for I don't know how much longer, but at least til transfers on Feb 13. It's so crazy :D missionaries will be back on Leyte Island  :D I'm so happy for them and they are so ready, and the members are so ready to have the hope that we bring. It's all so cool :) but I just don't know what I'm gonna do for the last like 3 weeks of the cycle cuz my companion will be gone. There is one other sister and one other elder whom are from our Tacloban Mission whom comp are also leaving, so we'll see what happens. Also, we're going to the mansion, (I mean mission home) tomorrow for a Taclobanite meeting before everyone leaves and stuff. I love my mission here and the Tacloban Mission. It's interesting having 2 missions and being loyal to 2 presidents and stuff...so
yeah, just thought you'd like to know. I'll go back, eventually :)

More and more people are telling me that I'm bisdak (like a local). I use slang they use and phrases and expressions and it makes me feel so good :) I'm getting better at understanding people, and sometimes when I'm speaking in English I keep wanting to say words in Cebuano and I think words in Cebuano all the time :) in lessons, sometimes I just keep on talking for a long time, and they understand me, so it's good enough. I'm still learning grammar stuff from the local missionaries, but still :) I'm on my way! At the end of my mission I'm gonna tell people that I'm from the Philippines and have them believe me :) it'll be so nindot (cool). 

I've felt so much closer to Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ lately as I've been going through personal struggles of faith to find people to teach, or worrying about the language, or wondering if I'm good enough for my follow up right now... and of course, every time we teach about the gospel, my testimony is strengthened...yes He really is there for us when we need Him, and no, He will not EVER give us anything that we cannot handle, even if we have to get on our knees and ask for His help. I'm not the best at accepting help, so He's had a good time making me humble myself and get it. I love the struggles I go through, after the fact, but still, I recognize how helpful it was and how I can become better because of it. So yeah, slowly but surely I'm realizing things that I am supposed to learn from my mission, and for my life after” :)

…”I'm also excite  to report that we were blessed with a baptism this last Saturday.

It's always a blessing to see someone enter the waters of baptism, no matter who they are, what they've done, or how old they are. I feel blessed to have had the chance to see him make sacred covenants with our Heavenly Father and Savior, Jesus Christ.
Our area is large, but we're doing what we can. Since Hundred Islands Area B was closed, we've taken it upon ourselves to work both areas, because each side has progressing and IBDs. We're doing what we can each day to make good use of time, though a lot of the areas themselves are very far. The Lord has blessed us with a number of potential IBDs that we will be focusing on these next few weeks. A lot is happening in our area and we're loving each day! We feel very much that this companionship was designed of God for both Sister Folau and I, and also to strengthen the Hundred Island Branch. Our Branch Mission Leader works almost as long of days as we do, so we'll be trying to find other members to work with us, as well as finding and rescuing our LAs. We're just so excited
for this transfer! A lot of growth is ahead, I can feel it, and I'm excited to see how the Lord will shape each and every one of us...”

“entonces, los lideres de la Iglesia ahora han comenzado a mandar a misioneros de vuelta a la Mision de Tacloban. EN ESTOS CAMBIOS !!!!!!!!! Hay unos 26 misioneros de todas partes de las
Filipinas que van de vuelta y mi compañera actual es una de ellos. Me quedaré aqui en Cebu pero no sé por cuanto mas tiempo, creo que por lo menos hasta el 13 de Febrero cuando son los proximos cambios. Esto es increible, los misioneros volverán a la isla de Leyte. Estoy muy contenta por ellos y ellos a la vez estan super listos para volver. Y los miembros de la Iglesia alla están muy animados de tener los mensajes que nosotros llevamos con nosotros, es super bueno todo esto. No sé lo que haré estas 3 semanas hasta los próximos cambios ya que mi compañera se irá a Tacloban. Hay otra hermana y otro Elder que tambien sus compañeros se irán a Tacloban ahora, asi que veremos lo que pasa.
Tambien vamos a la “mansion” (perdón me referia a la Casa de la Mision) esta semana para tener una reunion con todos los misioneros de la Mision de Tacloban antes que comienzen los cambios para allá. Amo mi mision actual, pero tambien amo mi mision original en Tacloban. Es intersante tener 2 misiones y ser leal a 2 Presidentes de mision. Bueno, solo deseaba que supieran. Es cosa de tiempo que también yo volveré a Tacloban.

Mas y mas personas me dicen que soy “bisdak” (persona local). Uso dichos y palabras tipicas que la gente usa aqui y me hace sentir super contenta. Me estoy poniendo muy buena en entender a la gente
de aca y cada vez que hablo en Ingles uso palabras en Cebuano en medio y tambien cuando enseño o simplemente  cuando digo cosas. A veces hablo y hablo y me doy cuenta que lo estoy hacienda en
Cebuano y lo mejor es que la gente me entiende, entonces creo que lo estoy haciendo bien. Aunque aun sigo aprendiendo gramatica de los misioneros Filipinos, pero aun asi … estoy en el camino correcto para dominar el idioma Cebuano. Al final de mi mision le voy a decir a la gente que soy Filipina y estoy segura que me creeran. Sera divertido!

Ultimamante me he sentido muy cerca de mi Padre Celestial y del Salvador gracias a los desafíos personales aqui en la mision al buscar a aquellos que estan listos o con el idioma mismo o si simplemente si soy lo suficientemente buena para pasar por mis últimas pruebas para llegar a ser una lider aqui. Pero cada vez que enseñamos las lecciones mi tesimonio se fortalece. En realidad él está ahi cuando lo  necesitamos y nunca nos dará mas allá de lo que podamos soportar aun si tengamos que doblar nuestras rodillas para pedir por ayuda. No me gusta pedir por ayuda, pero él
tiene su forma de hacerme humilde para que la pida. Amo mucho los desafios que tengo aqui en la mission (una vez que han pasado) pero reconozco que ha sido gracias a esas pruebas que soy mejor, si, lento pero seguro estoy aprendiendo  de la vida y de las cosas que debo aprender aqui en mi mision que durarán por siempre despues de este tiempo” J

“…Estoy muy feliz de informar que hemos sido bendecidas con otro bautismo este Sabado pasado. Siempre es una bendición ver a alguien entrar en las aguas del bautismo no importando quienes
son o lo que hayan hecho o la edad que tengan. Me siento bendecida de tener la oportunidad de ver a esta persona hacer convenios sagrados con nuestro Padre Celestial y su hijo Jesucristo.


Nuestra area es super grande, pero hacemos lo que podemos. Desde que la otra area fue cerrada, lo hemos tomado sobre nosotras cubrir esa area y la nuestra al mismo tiempo ya que en ambas areas tenemos investigadores progresando. Estamos haciendo lo que podamos al usar nuestro tiempo sabiamente aun cuando las dos areas estan bien separadas. EL Señor nos ha bendecido sin embargo con varias personas interesadas las cuales serán nuestro enfoque estas proximas semanas. Muchas cosas estan pasando en nuestra area y en realidad amamos cada dia!! Sentimos que nuestro compañerismo fue hecho por Dios (Hermana Folau y yo) y tambien para poder fortalecer la Rama de Cien Islas aqui. Nuestro lider misional local trabaja tanto como nosotras trabajamos, asi que trataremos de invitar a otros miembros locales para que nos ayuden y tambien para trabajar con nuestros miembros menos activos. Estamos super contentas con este cambio, puedo sentir que abrá un monton de crecimiento pronto y estoy animada de ver como el Señor nos moldea a cada una de nosotras aqui…”
